INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 3ND TEST 2011 LIVE VIDEO SCORE

India tour of South Africa, 3rd Test: INDIA V SOUTH AFRICA at Cape Town, Jan 02 - 06, 2011

Both the Centurion and Durban tracks were lively surfaces that favoured the bowlers initially. The track at SuperSport Park flattened as the sun came out and became excellent for batting. The surface at Kingsmead also became better for batting as the match wore on but there was something in it for the bowlers throughout. The conditions in Newlands will be vastly different.
"I would love to get the same bounce as grounds like SuperSport Park and the Wanderers," Flint said. "The type of bounce we get is different; it's more of a tennis-ball bounce." Flint said his ground offered more of a traditional South African Test-match wicket that was good for batting, particularly on days two and three and turned in favour of the spinners on days four and five.
Flint recognised that South Africa generally "want to get pace and bounce" out of their pitches at home and said he was aware of the home team's desire to exploit their own conditions. "I would like to create a surface that South Africa can get a good result on, but I've just got to do the best I can, and hopefully South Africa can play to their strengths."

Pakistan tour of New Zealand, 3rd T20I: New Zealand v Pakistan at Hamilton, Dec 30, 2010

Taylor was also full of praise for debutant Luke Woodcock who applied the squeeze alongside Nathan McCullum to ratchet up the pressure on Pakistan.
"It's quite a small boundary on the leg side that Woodcock bowled to, and he wasn't daunted by that. He bowled very well in tandem with Nathan and showed good promise. Being a left-armer he gives us some other spinning options as well." Taylor also added that he "owed [Woodcock] a few" after dropping a simple chance off Mohammad Hafeez that would have given the debutant his first wicket at international level.
Taylor also lauded Scott Styris and Peter McGlashan's blitz towards the end of the innings, saying, "the way they batted, it took the pressure off me and I played second fiddle to them and just fed them the strike."
The highlight of the New Zealand innings was McGlashan's 10-ball 26, which included two audacious reverse-swats off Umar Gul, for six.
"It's crazy, I'm never going to try that," Taylor said of McGlashan's stroke. "But that's his shot, I hope he continues to work on that and people just back him to do it. He plays the shot very well and if he continues to perform, that gives us an extra option, not just in the Twenty20 format but in the one-dayers as well. I thought his catches off Nathan were also very good." McCullum, whose 4 for 16 earned him the Man-of-the-Match award, said his job was made easier by the wickets that had fallen just before he came into the attack.
"The time that I was introduced was perfect for a spinner and once they've lost a couple of wickets it's a great time to come on," he said. "That was a pretty big move from Rossco which was great for me and Woody, to be able to work together and create a partnership." "The ball skids a little bit here at night and slightly bigger boundaries are can help with the spinners as well."

Pakistan tour of New Zealand, 2nd T20I: New Zealand v Pakistan at Hamilton, Dec 28, 2010

Pakistan never recovered from that rocky start. Umar Akmal provided them with a silver lining, showing some signs of form to get to 25 - Pakistan's top score of the innings. Left-arm spinner Roneel Hira dismissed Younis Khan for 18 and then Umar in his next over, and Fawad Alam was run out for 0 in between, to leave the visitors reeling at 52 for 6. Umar was trying to power Hira through the off side off the back foot, but missed the ball and was bowled. Abdul Razzaq wasn't able to pull off a recovery and fell to offspinner Bhupinder Singh for 16. Bates came back into the attack and dismissed Wahab Riaz to finish with figures of 4 for 11 in three overs.
Auckland opener Colin de Grandhomme was in a hurry to knock off the required runs and raced to 20 off 12 before he was caught at gully by Shehzad off Shoaib Akhtar. Martin Guptill, the only member of the Auckland side who is in New Zealand's squad for the Twenty20 series against Pakistan, played the sheet-anchor role, and batted through the innings, making 28. Shoaib managed another wicket, bowling Lou Vincent, but was expensive, going at 7.75 in his four overs.
Saeed Ajmal did a good job of drying up the runs, giving away 20 in his four overs, and picked up the wickets of Anaru Kitchen and Colin Munro. Gareth Hopkins, who was dropped from New Zealand's squad for the Twenty20 and Test series against Pakistan, made only 8 before falling to Wahab Riaz. But Auckland were always comfortable, and reached their target with plenty of overs to spare, helped by the 17 extras conceded by Pakistan's bowlers.

Yet, their recent travails in the subcontinent - where they failed to win any of their last 11 one-dayers and three Tests, spread across each of the three World Cup hosting countries - have left their tournament preparations in disarray, with very little time for new coach John Wright to turn things around.

This series - on spongy, seaming tracks and small grounds - against a Pakistan team in its current state, presents New Zealand with less than ideal preparation for the big event, but it gives them a good shot at ending the slump.
Pakistan don't have the luxury of picking and choosing their venues anymore. Security concerns have prevented them from playing at home. This is Pakistan's second visit to New Zealand in a year, a frequency rarely seen from Asian teams.

INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 2ND TEST LIVE VIDEO, IND VS SA 2ND TEST SCORE

Durban that Mitchell Johnson broke Graeme Smith's fingers with a snorter - and in Dale Steyn, they have the man who can harass them with pace and movement. So much will come down to how the surface plays. The selection headache revolves around the third seamer: Lonwabo Tsotsobe or Wayne Parnell? In his brief career, Tsotsobe has proven to be a steady operator while Parnell has shown, on occasions, the prowess to bowl fiery spells. Indians, traditionally, have struggled against such left-arm seamers. Will South Africa bite the bullet?

For India, it's another acid test. The batsmen's approach in the second innings of the first Test was successful but by then the pitch had lost its sting. Can they do it when the pitch has some spice in it? So much, yet again, depends on Virender Sehwag if India are to do well in the first innings. He has the skill and the mental tenacity to deal with pace and bounce. Though VVS Laxman didn't sparkle in the first Test, he was at relative ease till his dismissals, but the same can't be said of Suresh Raina. Will the Indians give him one more chance "to surprise himself" or will they draft in Cheteshwar Pujara? Zaheer Khan returns to alleviate their bowling woes and India will hope that Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth have learnt from the mistakes of the first Test.

AUSTRALIA VS ENGLAND 4TH TEST LIVE VIDEO, ASHES LIVE STREAMING

Ricky definitely won't field in slips. He'll probably field at mid-off or mid-on. As long as you're pretty close to seeing the line which the bowlers are bowling, it's probably better for the bowlers that Punt's there to be able to talk to them as well. He has fielded there plenty of times in one-day cricket so I don't think it makes much difference.

Ponting and Clarke are the two members of Australia's top order that most need to lift for Boxing Day, with the team having relied heavily on Michael Hussey, Shane Watson and Brad Haddin during the series. Clarke made 80 in the second innings in Adelaide, where he couldn't salvage a draw, and his other scores have been 9, 2, 4 and 20.
"It hasn't been great," Clarke said of his form. "I thought I batted pretty well in the second innings in Adelaide. I made 80-odd which is nice. I was disappointed to get out in the last over of the day there. I felt very good in the second innings in Perth as well. I feel like I'm doing all the work. I feel like I'm training hard and hopefully there's some runs coming for Christmas this year for me."

Tendukar scores 50th Test century, Video Hightlights

Tendulkar had batted for five hours in scoring 107 not out, sharing a defiant seventh-wicket stand of 172 with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (90) as India reached 454 for eight wickets when a storm ended play on the fourth day at Centurion.

Tendulkar, who is test cricket's leading run-scorer with 14,509 in 175 matches, and the most prolific century-maker, had hit 13 fours, mostly through the off-side with classical strokes, and a six hammered straight back over left-arm spinner Paul Harris's head.

“Bradman, I believe, would have been proud to play today’s game as well as Tendulkar does, just as Tendulkar, like all of us, holds Bradman in awe. Let us just say that Tendulkar is the Bradman of today — less hypnotic but scarcely less phenomenal — and leave it at that,” Woodcock said.

“There is every chance that Tendulkar will make his 50th Test hundred this week, against New Zealand, in itself an amazing achievement. But if Bradman had played the same number of Test innings (Tendulkar has played 280 to Bradman’s 80), he would have finished with something like 100 hundred, given the rate at which he scored them,” the veteran columnist wrote.

Woodcock said physically, Tendulkar is the shorter and stockier of the two and with the sub-continent being the breeding ground of the world’s most natural batsmen, there could be a few more talented cricketers from that region in the future.

Some Important Records Sachin Holds

statistics of Tendulkar:

* He is the only batsman to aggregate 1,000 runs or more in a calendar year six times.

* His tally of 96 international hundreds, including 46 hundreds is a record.

* Apart from his record centuries in Tests as well as ODIs, his run-aggregate in both formats are world records - Tests - 14,508 (ave.56.89) in 175 Tests.

* Highest run-aggregate in ODIs - 17,598 in 442 ODIs at an average of 45.12.

* He has appeared in 175 Tests - the most played by any batsman.

* Most runs away from home - 7,961 (ave.56.86) in 96 Tests.

* Most centuries away from home - 28.

* The only player to appear in 600 international games - 618.

* The only player to post 20 innings of 150-plus.

* Holds an Indian record for top-scoring 47 times in a completed Indian innings.

India have arrived early in South Africa, with most of their stars missing the home ODI series against New Zealand. Dhoni said the preparation has been satisfactory. "Last few days have been good. We were in Cape Town, most of us. We were practising at Gary's [Kirsten, India's coach] academy, the facilities were good, we had some decent time to ourselves. Batsmen worked on a few of the things. It was quite relaxed. No hassles. Till now the preparations have been good, we still have three days to go to the Test."

India looked a side at comfort with itself during their first full practice session with the whole squad for the Tests, but there was cause for concern with Zaheer Khan choosing to go through just fitness drills due to what seems like a hamstring injury.

Dhoni and his team have been proud of the No. 1 ranking, but have mostly spoken about the processes that have got them there. However, this series is the most anticipated for this team, one that is supposed to show just how good the side really is. The extra time spent in preparation shows how important India think this series is. Dhoni, though, refused to call it a defining series, a yardstick to judge the team by.

One man who will definitely play at the WACA is Hughes, who is not in his best form but was still considered the most likely replacement for Katich, who will miss the rest of the series with an Achilles tendon injury. The pressure on Hughes will be increased after Australia altered the balance of their squad by leaving out the specialist batsman North.

When asked if there had been any temptation to rest key personnel ahead of the World Cup, Miller admitted that it was not an option, given that England have now won five consecutive series since the tour of South Africa last winter, and will want to go to the subcontinent in February with that winning streak extended. "You couldn't do that," he said. "You've still got to keep the momentum, the lads playing together and finding out their roles within the side.
